This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to undertake scheduled routine work activities in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) - large scale wind generation environment.
Routine work activities can include undertaking tasks such as the operation of non-critical plant systems, lubricating plant, performing minor maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, cleaning plant, performing warehousing stock duties and operating mobile load shifting equipment.
Competency in this unit requires the ability carry out routine work activities in an electrical supply generation environment - wind. Individuals will work, under supervision, as a maintenance operative in a power generation facility.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
